Blake Shelton: Celebrating One of the US’s Top Country Stars
Blake Shelton is a major star in the US country scene, with several hit singles and albums to his name. He launched his career in 2001, when his debut song, Austin, topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs for more than one month. This introduced the world to Blake Shelton music and won him a legion of loyal fans.
Along with Austin, Blake Shelton’s self-titled first album was a huge hit, and became certified platinum. Two further successful singles from the album were released: Ol’ Red and All Over Me. Both tracks demonstrated the power of Blake Shelton songs lyrics brilliantly, setting the star up for a career that would bring years of consistent success.
The Ongoing Success of Blake Shelton Music
Blake Shelton has released several more albums since he hit the ground running with his debut.
The Dreamer hit the charts in 2003, featuring multiple singles. The first was The Baby, which managed to stay at the number-one spot on the Billboard country charts for three weeks. Heavy Liftin’ and Playboys of the Southwestern World were the next two hit singles from The Dreamer.
The following year, Blake Shelton music continued to evolve beautifully with Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill. This went on to be certified platinum, and spawned multiple singles, including When Somebody Knows You That Well. While this was the lowest-charting track of Shelton’s career at that point, the next — Some Beach — changed all that.
Some Beach stayed at number one for four weeks, helping Blake Shelton songs lyrics attract even wider acclaim from critics and fans alike. Goodbye Time and Nobody But Me were released later, both entering the top 10.
Other Blake Shelton albums have brought him further success, including Based on a True Story, which debuted at number one in 2013. This featured such hit tracks as Boys ‘Round Here and Mine Would Be You.
